なんだか、最近の話題はiPhoneばかりで、日本にも上陸していないので少しApple関連のニュースも冷ややかに眺めていました。
＃でも見ていたのですが・・・

そこで、次のうわさがあがっていました。

第３クォーターに新しいiPodが登場するというのです！しかもフルスクリーン！！
今まで私は聞いた事がない噂だったのですが、ゴールドマンサックスが情報筋のようであながち
ただの噂話ではないようです。

ちなみに、私が以前から所有していた第4世代のiPodが故障しているので買い替えを検討してます。
もうiPodFamilyから抜けれる自信がないので新製品が早く出るのを期待してます。

MacRumorsの記事が消えていたので気になってGoogleのキャッシュでそれっぽい記事を引っ張ってみました。

There have been rumors that the next "6th Generation" iPod could be released as early as August 7th, 2007. According to some sources, the new iPod may still be housed in the traditional click-wheel design rather than moving to a full touch-screen design like the new iPhone.

An anonymous source now claims that the iPod interface will be revamped to a more visual interface, with iPhone-like design elements and transitions. The new interface will incorporate Ken Burns album art transitions, Cover Flow and a new split-screen interface. The overall look and feel will be familiar to current iPod owners but have the additional visual flair.
It's not yet clear if OS X is hidden behind this new user interface, but Steve Jobs had recently revealed that they are working on OS X based iPods.
The following interface videos have also been provided, and though their authenticity can't be guaranteed, they certainly look convincing. The Beatles' albums appear to play a large role in the interface videos, suggesting that online Beatles sales will launch concurrently with the 6G iPod's release.

次期iPodはiPhoneライクではなく、現在のiPodを踏襲した形で発売されるとの噂でした orz...
あとは、MacOSXが搭載されているか、ビートルズが配信されるか・・・。

買い替えを考えていましたが、その程度で終わり！？という印象です。
＃iPhoneインタフェースがだめなのか、ただの出し惜しみか・・・・。

とりあえず、記事が消されている点も信憑性がないためとポジティブに反応してみたり・・・。

新しいiPodは8月に出るかもです。思ったより早くお披露目されるのかもしれませんね。

DigiTimes claims that Wintek has been given the contract award for producing the the panels of Apples upcoming iPod refresh, which DigiTimes notes will be in August. The touch screens will reportedly be similar to the iPhone's touch screen.
Steve Jobs made comments during a town hall meeting of Apple Employees that the Mac OS X group was working on unreleased iPods as well as the desktop OS and iPhone OS.
Analyst Gene Munster recently chimed in, stating he believed that the updated iPods would come by Macworld 2008.

どうも記事によるとアメリカでは端末に$100ほどしか使わないようですが、$300になると市場が動きそうだということです。たしかに携帯で6万は高い！！という印象ですよね。まずは。携帯の機能とセットなもんだから、日本で考えてもライフタイムが長くて2年。勿体無い感が私には強いです。だからこそ、単体iPodで出てくれれば即買いするのに・・・。と、独り言。

ようやく、iPhoneで採用したMacOSXベースのiPodの噂話が流れはじめました。

iPhoneの複数本を指定するあの独特のインタフェースがMacBookのタッチパッドに10月ごろに搭載されるかもしれないとのことです。10月にMacBookが半分の薄さになるともかかれてますね(汗
最近、知り合いにMacをお勧めする機会があったのですが、Leopardの件もあるし、もう少し待ってもらった方がよさそうですね(笑

According to CrunchGear’s ‘trusted source’ that the upcoming MacBooks which are expected to be released around October will support the iPhone’s multi-touch technology built into their touchpads.

CrunchGear Says:
The feature will be built into the touchpads, allowing you to navigate through your notebook’s files, applications, etc. the same way you can on the iPhone. (Yes, I know you can already scroll with them, that’s nothing new. I’m talking about all the other finger gestures that can be done on the iPhone’s screen)

On June 20th, CrunchGear reported that the upcoming MacBooks will be about half the thickness of the current models and will be made from new plastics or materials.

PINといっても、TrackBackのPINGでもなければ、ネットワークのICMPのパケットでもありません。
実は、GoogleのAdsenseがここ最近止まっていました。
理由はPINナンバーが分からないため・・・。

adsenseのホームページ上でPINナンバーが分からないと広告が消えてしまうのだそうです orz
前々から多少気になってはいましたが、ほったらかしていました(汗
消えてから真剣に考えて、ホームページを読むと、ナンバーが分からない場合は郵送をお願いする
ことになります。adsenseにログインして、PING送信というリンクがあるので、そこを押します。
そうすると、２，３週間で郵送で送られてきます・・・。
Googleが郵送というと、何か釈然としなかったりもしますが。
ボタン押して10日ほどした今日、やっと手紙が届きました。
薄い紙をテープで止めたチープな郵送でした・・・。

中身に肝心のナンバーが書いてますので、adsense上に入力。
現在は広告も無事復活したようです。

ちなみに、広告がないから更新が鈍くなっているわけではありません(笑
今日も０：００まで働きました orz...

Despite some flaws and feature omissions, the iPhone is, on balance, a beautiful and breakthrough handheld computer, writes the Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg, who on Tuesday published the first official review of the inaugural Apple handset.

いくつかの欠陥や省略された機能はあるものの、最終的には美しく、飛躍的に発展したハンドヘルドコンピュータとなった。

On the upside

• The iPhone's virtual keyboard "turned out in our tests to be a nonissue." After five days of use, Walt "was able to type on it as quickly and accurately as he could on the Palm Treo he has used for years."
• iPhone does work overseas, but only via an AT&T roaming plan.
• The initial iPhone model cannot be upgraded to use the faster [3G] networks.
• When you have access to Wi-Fi, the iPhone flies on the Web. "Not only that, but the iPhone automatically switches from EDGE to known Wi-Fi networks when it finds them, and pops up a list of new Wi-Fi networks it encounters as you move."
• iPhone is thinner than the skinny Samsung BlackJack.
• While iPhone does pick up smudges, it didn't acquire a single scratch during the two-week period, even though it was tossed into Walt's pocket or briefcase (and Katie's purse) without any protective case or holster. "No scratches appeared on the rest of the body either."

On the downside

• "The phone is about as long as the Treo 700, the BlackBerry 8800 or the BlackJack, but it's slightly wider than the BlackJack or Treo, and heavier than the BlackBerry and BlackJack."
• "While the iPhone uses the standard iPod port on the bottom edge, it doesn't recognize all car adapters for playing music, only for charging." Walt claims Apple is considering a software update to fix this.
• "There's no overall search on the iPhone (except Web searching), and no quick way to move to the top or bottom of pages (except in the Web browser)."
• "There's also no way to cut, copy, or paste text."
• "If you are playing music while doing something else, the lack of hardware playback buttons forces you to return to the iPod program to stop the music or change a song."
• "The error-correction system didn't seem as clever as the one on the BlackBerry, and you have to switch to a different keyboard view to insert a period or comma, which is annoying."
• "It can also handle corporate email using Microsoft's Exchange system, if your IT department cooperates by enabling a setting on the server."
• No BlackBerry email services but Yahoo Mail's free BlackBerry-style "push" email to iPhone users "worked fine."
• iPhone can view, but can't edit or save Word or Excel files.
• "Its battery life is excellent. In our tests, it got seven hours and 18 minutes of continuous talk time, while the Wi-Fi was on and email was constantly being fetched in the background."
• Under the same conditions, Walt got 22 hours of music playback, over 9 hours for Internet usage, and seven hours -- enough to watch 4 average movies -- for video.
• The phone interface takes more taps to reach than on many other smart phones, because there are no dedicated hardware phone buttons. You also cannot just start typing a name or number, but must scroll through a list of favorites.
• "Voice call quality was good, but not great. In some places, especially in weak coverage areas, there was some muffling or garbling."
• "While its two megapixel camera took excellent pictures in our tests, it can't record video."
• "Its otherwise excellent Web browser can't fully utilize some Web sites, because it doesn't yet support Adobe's Flash technology."
• Can't use songs on iPhone's iPod as ringtones.
• "Apple says it plans to add features to the phone over time, via free downloads, and hints that some of these holes may be filled."

良くなった点

• キーボードが使いやすい
• AT&Tのローミングサービスを使えば、海外でも利用可能
• 最初のiPhoneでは３Gネットワークでの利用は不可
• WiFI接続はシームレスにAPを繋ぎ変え可能
• ケースなどがなくても2週間で傷はついていない

悪くなった点

• BlackBerryと比べると、少し横長で思い
• 標準のiPodポートが車で利用できないものがある。(SWアップデートで解消？)
• 全体的な検索機能がなく、画面の一番上と下に行く方法がない
• カット、コピー、ペーストできない
• 音楽を再生しているときに他のことをしていても、iPod操作画面に戻る必要がある
• 文字の？エラー訂正が賢くない。コンマやピリオドのたびにキーボード切り替え必要あり
• 設定をすればExchangeを利用すれば、社内メール利用可能。
• BlackBerryのメールサービスは利用不可。YAHOOのPUSHメールは利用可能
• ExcelやWordを見れるけど、編集できない
• バッテリーは良い。メールを都度更新しながら、7時間18分話せた。
• 22時間音楽が聴けて、9時間インターネットが使えた。ビデオは7時間見れた。
• 電話をする際、人の名前や電話番号を打てずに、Favoriteまでスクロールする必要あり。
• 訳違うかも
• 音声は良くも悪くもない。電波が弱くなるとこもった感じ
• 写真は綺麗に取れる。ビデオはない。
• Flashをサポートしていないので、十分なWebブラウザが出来ないときあり。
• 着信音にiPodの楽曲が使えない
• 不具合解消のために、フリーダウンロードでの機能追加あり。

No, Apple doesn’t make a black iPod Shuffle which is most likely why this Chinese knockoff made theirs with a color previously not available. According to the packaging it was designed in California but assembled (if that’s what “Assombled” means) in China, and is priced at only $14.

What’s interesting is the packaging and design look surprisingly similar to an actual iPod, but according to a translation from Le Journal du Geek who obtained the knockoff product, it’s actually made out of plastic which isn’t held together well at that.

模造品ですね・・・。それにしても良くできていますが、かみ合わせの悪いプラスチック製だそうです :P

At the KES 2007 they introduced audio acessories amongst them short cut tops or bikinis with integrated iPod control buttons. iPod buttons in jackets is nothing new, but JWin managed to created the hottest iPod outfit as of yet with these iPod bikinies. See one more photo below.
There is no information available if JWin will actually productive this iPod outfits. It could have just been a promotional thing.
