真偽はまだ分かりませんが、MicrosoftがVista HomeはParallelsをはじめとする仮想化ソフト上で動かしては駄目という話があります。

Mac users have found virtualization solutions such as Parallels Desktop a good way to switch between Mac OS X and Windows. This latest news from Microsoft may inhibit some use of the software as Business and Ultimate editions range from $300-400 verses Home Basic's $200 price point (prices).

仮想化ソフトの上でVista Home BasicとHome Premium editionは仮想環境上で禁止のようで、動作させたければ、より高価なBusinessかUltimateバージョンを買いなさいとのことです。
元ネタの掲示板上ではマイクロソフトがMacOSにシェアを取られることを恐れてだとか色々な憶測が飛んでいるようです。

マイクロソフトにとってもあまり利益となることがない気がします。この件については。
仮想化ソフトを作っているベンダーと上手くやりたくないのでしょうか？
